Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Law
PhD program in Law is focused on legally associated social problems with the intention of providing social Justice. It aims to equip research scholars with critical and analytical ability by providing them with theoretical and empirical exposure through comprehensive course work. The research in law enables scholars to pursue research in the front line areas of basic law as well as interdisciplinary areas of legal research. Thus PhD programme produces professional researchers and future leaders in Law.

Time of Payment: All the candidates have to pay the I Year fee immediately after confirmation of the admission. For subsequent years, fees must be paid annually on or before 15th March. # The fee for Full Time PhD Scholars, as indicated in the table, is the actual fee payable and excludes the scholarship amount. |
It is to be noted that though the fee is fixed for two years, there may be a periodic nominal increase to meet the rise in costs.
- NRI fee is applicable for the first year for candidates who have studied foreign syllabus (has to be approved by UGC / AIU) in the qualifying examination of study in India. In subsequent years Other Indian States fees will be applicable.
(The above condition is not applicable to NRI and candidates applied under NRI Category).
- NRI fee is applicable for the full duration of the Programme for candidates who;
2.1. Have pursued and completed their last qualifying exam from outside India.
2.2. Are NRI and candidates who have applied under the NRI category.
- To claim the Indian category fee, the candidates should have studied the last 7 years in India. (Not applicable for OCI, PIO and Foreign Nationals).
- Admission registration fee of INR 5000/- (US $80 for foreign nationals/PIO/OCI) is non-refundable in the event of cancellation of admission. This fee will be apart from cancellation charges if any applicable.
- All Candidates If “Selected” after appearing for the final selection process, the fee may be paid through the following option:

Selection Process
The selection process (ET_SA_RPP_PI)* will be conducted on the date/s chosen while filling the application or as announced by the office of admissions.
The selection process will be held in person at the venue selected while submitting the application form online.

Selection process Admit card for the programme will be generated ONE or TWO days before the scheduled selection process date OR as mentioned in the Important dates on the university website. Applicants must attend the same at the specified date and time mentioned on the admit card. Travel arrangements have to be made in advance according to the date chosen while submitting application. |

Miscellaneous Information
- The University does not collect any type of Capitation / Donation other than the fee mentioned in the website.
- If the Application is incomplete or incorrect, the University Management has the right to reject it.
- Kindly do not send any original marks cards through post or courier.
- The Online application form will be processed by the Office of Admissions only on receipt of the online payment acknowledgment slip copy and all supporting documents.
- The institution is not responsible for any application reaching after the stipulated date /time and such applications will not be processed.
- Ignorance of the Terms, Conditions and guidelines will not be considered as an excuse for non-fulfillment of any stipulated process.
- It is to be noted that though the fee is fixed for 2 years, there will be a periodic nominal increase to meet the rise in costs.
- Fees should be paid within the stipulated date for the first year and before the commencement of final examinations of 2nd semester for the second year.
- All those admitted to the programme will have to purchase a laptop at their own cost.
- Admitted students who wish to avail Bank Loan will be provided a recommendation letter on request by presenting the original fee paid receipt to the Office of Admissions.
- The college does not provide loans and has no partnerships with banks for this purpose
- The decision of the Admission Committee is final and binding.
